Our regional community grants are given to local organizations in the US directly from The Gerber Company after an open application procedure. Unsure of your eligibility? You won't need to worry; the application will help.
Guidelines

Grants range from a minimum of $250 to a maximum of $5,000.

The service area of the facility from which they are requesting funds must be directly benefited by eligible nonprofit organizations, which must operate locally (or be an affiliate/chapter of a larger organization that operates locally).

The 2023 grant cycle begins Feb. 1, 2023 and the application deadline is Dec. 31, 2023.

Throughout this financing round, applications may be filed at any time. Applicants should be aware that their applications will only be active in our system for 90 days before they are automatically rejected.

Organizations may only submit a total number of 25 applications and/or receive up to 25 grants within the 2023 grant cycle.
Eligibility Checklist

An organization that is currently operating tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, is listed on the IRS Master File, and is recognized as a public charity under Section 509(a)(1), (2), or (3). (Types I or II).

A state, county, or city agency, including a fire department or police department, that is requesting money only for public purposes.

A church or other faith-based organization with a proposed project that benefits the community at large, such as food pantries, soup kitchens, and clothes closets. A K–12 public or nonprofit private school, charter school, community/junior college, state/private college, or university.
Selection Process

On each request received, the special services department will examine the application and provide preliminary financing suggestions.

The grant administrator and the department manager reserve the right to change the amount given to each organization without giving advance notification.

Organizations will be notified of any decision via e-mail. All funding decisions are final.

If an organization is approved, grant checks will be mailed directly to the recipient’s address listed on the application.
All grant requests are subject to evaluation of the organization's standing, operations, and willingness to abide by all applicable terms and conditions. Application submission does not ensure funding. Organizations that refuse service, membership, or other activity based on a person's race, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, status as a veteran, or level of impairment are excluded from funding. The Gerber Company is NOT required to give reasoning for why a request was denied.
